A major financial services firm based in West Africa is seeking a senior macro economist/researcher to join their high performance team in Lagos.
The successful candidate will lead the team that will be responsible for providing timely, empirically based economic analysis that will enable the firm to leverage local and global opportunities, and deal with unforeseen events
The candidate must have a Ph.D. in economics/finance or econometrics from a recognized university. He/she must have 5-15 years experience in financial markets, and an in-depth understanding of financial markets in relation to the global economy.
He/she must also have experience in quantitative research and a proven record of adding value at an established research or investment firm.
Other requirements include:
• Strong analytical skills• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English•
