Goal of the Job:

Responsible for the planning and development of Zain Nigeria’s high capacity optical fibre backbone network. This backbone network is required to support the the GSM/next-generation mobile network, including all its data and management networks.

Role description:

Develop fibre development roadmap for approval.
Planning and provisioning of the optical fibre network to ensure timely and economic provisioning of sufficient transmission capacities to meet network growth.
Review for approval, transmission plans made for the network by suppliers/vendors.
Keep abreast and evaluate available optical fibre transmission technologies and recommend cost effective and efficient equipment specification for use in the network.
Implement and oversee the necessary installations and acceptance policies, procedures, work practice and specifications
Maintain site documentation and records on Fibre Optics links, equipment and network layout plans.
Provide support to operationalspecial investigations when required.

Other Requirements for Candidate:

Qualification

Experience

8 years experience with optical fibre system.
